The Best Grape Clafouti Recipe -Learn Like a Pro :- This is a very simple and quick baked French delicacy called grape clafoutis. It is a thick grape-based flan-like batter that just needs a few staple ingredients.
I first became aware of this delicious French delicacy, known as clafoutis (often spelled clafouti), years ago. These days, it’s one of my favorite summertime treats to create. I’ve previously made this with apricots and cherries. I think this is my favorite variation, even though I made it with green grapes for the first time.

I wish I had a slice of this gorgeous and delectable dessert in front of me right now simply thinking about it. Typically, black cherries with their pits included are used to make clafoutis; it is said that the pits unleash a delicious flavor as the clafoutis bakes. The batter is quite simple to produce and has a thickness similar to that of a flan. Powdered sugar is also used to dust the clafoutis, but I chose not to do so this time around since I think the sweetness level is sufficient.
Ingredients
- 1 pound green grapes (washed and dried)
- 1¾ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- ¼ cup butter (melted, salted)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar (granulated)
Instructions
Turn the oven on to 375°F.
Use some of the melted butter to brush your baking dish.
Arrange the grapes in the baking dish’s bottom.
Combine the flour, sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and remaining butter in a blender. Mix everything together until a beautiful, thin batter forms.
Cover the grapes with the clafoutis batter.
Bake until the middle is firm, about 1 hour.
If desired, dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes
Desiccate your grapes. Use paper towels to completely dry the grapes to prevent the clafoutis from having too much water in it, which could make the flan wetter.
Prepare each serving separately. Make individual portions in a muffin tray if feeding a large group of people.
When covered with plastic wrap and refrigerated, your grape clafoutis will keep for up to four days. You can simply prepare this one or two days ahead of time and serve it as a delicious dessert that stays exceptionally well in the refrigerator.

FAQs
How Do I Know When My Clafoutis Is Done Baking?
You may check if your clafoutis is done when the top has turned a golden brown color. Keeping the grapes out of the clafoutis, place a toothpick in the center of it. You can remove it from the oven if it comes out clean. Allow the batter to cook for 5 to 10 minutes at intervals until the toothpick comes out clean if there is still batter adhered to it.
Can You Reheat Clafoutis?
Of course! Just place foil over it and bake at 350°F for five to ten minutes, or until heated through.
How To Serve
After giving your clafoutis a thorough dusting of powdered sugar, cut it into pie-shaped slices using a big knife. Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. Naturally, this dessert tastes great on its own as well!
