Slice zucchini : Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Your zucchini should be sliced lengthwise into thin slices, and you can make them as thin or as thick as you desire. Put aside for later.

Make bolognese : The ground beef should be added to a large pan that is set over medium-high heat. To ensure that the ground beef is browned and no longer pink, use a spatula to split it up into smaller pieces and then pan-fry it. After that, pour the spaghetti sauce on top (don’t forget to set aside half a cup), whisk it all together, and then quickly remove it from the fire.

 

Make ricotta mix : To prepare the ricotta mix, combine the ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl and whisk until everything is combined.

Add the first layers :  Spread a half cup of pasta sauce onto the bottom of your casserole dish that is 9 inches by 13 inches. Afterward, place your zucchini pieces on top of the sauce that is on the pasta. They might be positioned next to one another or they can overlap one another.

 

Add the secondary layers : The zucchini should be topped with half of the bolognese sauce, and then half of the ricotta mixture should be spread evenly on top of that. The next step is to incorporate a half cup of shredded mozzarella along with a finely chopped parsley and basil.
