Super Honey BBQ Chicken Tender Recipe
Ingredients :
- 8 chicken drumsticks, skin on, or off*
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt such as Lawry’s, or adobo seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 tablespoons BBQ sauce, homemade or store bought
- 3 teaspoons yellow mustard
Instructions :
Both garlic powder and seasoning salt should be used to season the chicken. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or in the refrigerator for as long as overnight, with the lid on.
Mix the barbecue sauce, mustard, and approximately two tablespoons of water in a small bowl. This will help to thin out the mixture.
Prepare an outdoor grill by heating it to a medium fire.
Reduce the heat to a low setting and oil the grates.
Cook the chicken on the grill, covered, turning it frequently to prevent it from burning, for approximately 18 to 20 minutes, or until it reaches a golden brown color and is entirely cooked through in the middle.
Cook the chicken for approximately two more minutes, turning it a few times, until it reaches a golden color while taking care not to burn.
Brush the barbecue sauce mixture evenly over the chicken.
Notes :
When skin is removed, two drumsticks are worth five WW points.
