- 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
- 1-2 tablespoon Milk
INSTRUCTIONS :
For The Cake
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover the bottom of three cake pans measuring 8 inches in diameter with parchment paper and coat them with nonstick cooking spray. Put aside for later.
Brown sugar, canola oil, applesauce, and eggs should be mixed together in a separate, big bowl. Utilise an electric mixer to achieve a smooth consistency. Mix in the vanilla extract until everything is incorporated.
Put the flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt into a separate basin and mix them together. Mix thoroughly by whisking.
To the basin containing the wet ingredients, add the dry ingredients. Using an electric mixer, beat the ingredients until they are almost completely blended. To get a smooth consistency, fold in the sour cream.
Using three cake pans that have been prepped, divide the batter evenly. To ensure that a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean, bake it for forty minutes.
As soon as the cakes have finished baking, take them out of the oven and let them cool for five to ten minutes before moving them to a cooling rack.
For The Frosting
Start the filling while the cakes are in the oven. Put butter in a medium-sized pot and set it over low to medium heat. For about three to four minutes, let the butter bubble until it starts to turn brown.
Take it off the heat and put it in a bowl that can handle heat. Let it cool all the way down before going on to the next step.
Brown butter that has been cooled should be mixed with cream cheese, confectioners’ sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a big bowl.
When you add 1-2 tablespoons of milk to soften it, beat it with an electric mixer until it is smooth and fluffy.
Cake Assembly
A sharp knife with sharpened edges can be used to level the top of each cake dish.
Every other layer should have frosting on top of it. Put the cake in the fridge for about 30 minutes with the lid on.
Once the cake is cool, frost it however you like with the rest of the filling.
Serve and have fun!
