A salmon salad served in a huge bowl of white When it comes to summer salads, I am a major supporter of transforming simple proteins into creamy salads. Even though they are incredibly filling, they are nonetheless light and refreshing.

At this point, I have prepared a variety of salads, including shrimp salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, and even cabbage tuna salad… you get the idea. Consequently, it seemed only logical that the following item on my list would be a salad that would make use of one of my most beloved components, which is baked salmon.

 

INGREDIENTS 

FOR THE SALMON

  • ½ tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

FOR THE SALAD

  • ½ small red onionfinely diced
  • 3 large radishesgrated
  • 2 stalks celerysmall diced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives

 

INSTRUCTIONS 

Get the salmon ready. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). The salmon should be placed on top of a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. It is recommended to drizzle olive oil over the salmon and then season it with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

For the salmon salad, fish seasoned with a spice rub Bake the fish and then flake it. The salmon should be baked for sixteen to eighteen minutes, depending on its size and thickness, or until it crumbles readily when tested with a fork. After allowing it to reach room temperature, break the salmon into chunks and place them in a basin. The flakes salmon should be chilled in the refrigerator for five to ten minutes.

In order to make salmon salad, flake the salmon using a fork. Cut the vegetables into cubes. Add the onion, radish, celery, dill, and chives to the salmon that has been flaked for garnish. The salmon salad is served on a board with diced veggies. Put together the dressing. The dressing should be prepared in a separate, smaller bowl. Put the mayonnaise, lemon zest and juice, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper into a mixing bowl and stir until combined.

Dressing :  I really enjoy the lemon vinaigrette dressing that I made for this salad, but if you are in a hurry, you may use any other dressing.
