Instructions

  • A large pot or skillet that is being heated over medium heat should have the olive oil added to it while it is being heated. The garlic, the red pepper, the onion, and the sausage slices should all be included in the selection.
  • The sausage should be sautéed for around five to seven minutes while being tossed regularly until the onion and peppers have become tender and the sausage has reached the desired level of doneness.

  • When you have finished adding the tomato paste, stir it in. Include the kale that has been chopped, tomatoes that have been diced, basil, oregano, and fennel seed in the mixture.

  • Penne pasta and broth should be incorporated into the dish. Stir until all of the ingredients are combined. If you want the pasta to be al dente, you should cook it for eight to ten minutes with the cover on the pot, stirring it occasionally, or until it achieves the desired consistency. Replace the top, give it a toss, and then add the fresh mozzarella cheese.
  • Finish by putting the top back on. Continue heating while stirring the ingredients until the cheese has melted. It is recommended that fresh basil and Parmesan cheese be sprinkled the very top. Serve while the food is still hot.

  • Our cast iron skillet, which has a diameter of ten inches, is the one that we enjoy using the most. You can cover your pot or pan if you do not have a lid for it by placing a large baking sheet over it. This will allow you to cover it.
  • It will be impossible for the contents to escape as a result of this. Additionally, the recipe calls for gluten-free pasta or whole wheat pasta from DeLallo, both of which are readily available when the recipe is followed.
