One Pot Hamburger Helper Lasagna

Ingredients :

  • 1 pound ground beef (extra lean)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 8 ounce Mafalda pasta (uncooked)
  • 3 cups chicken broth (low sodium)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (fresh, chopped for garnish)

Instructions :

Cook the beef.Warm up the ground beef in a big pan over medium-low heat until it stops being pink and starts to turn brown. If you need to, drain off any extra fat. There won’t be any extra fat to drain if you use extra lean ground beef.
Incorporate onion, garlic and seasoning. Cut up the onion and garlic and add them to the pan. Stir them around. Add salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 3 minutes, or until the onion is soft and clear.
Add liquids and pasta. Along with the pasta and chicken broth, add the tomato sauce and stir everything together. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat. The pasta should be fully cooked after about 15 minutes, and most of the sauce should have been soaked up.
Finish the dish. Add the cheese and stir it in. Cook for another 30 seconds to a minute, let it melt, and then serve.
Add a garnish and serve. Add parsley on top and serve.

Notes :

You can substitute any other little form of pasta, such as farfalle, penne, shells, elbow, or any other variety, if you are unable to locate mafalda pasta.
If you want to limit the amount of fat in the dish, you can use ground turkey or chicken.

When you are adding the liquids to the pan, make sure to scrape the brown parts that are located at the bottom of the skillet. These brown bits offer a flavorful flavour to the liquids.

Change up the cheeses, spices, and other ingredients to make this recipe uniquely yours. Utilising this recipe as a foundation, you may create a wide variety of other versions.

In the event that you are fortunate enough to have leftovers, this would be an excellent choice for lunch the following day. Before moving on, check to see that the hamburger helper has reached room temperature in its entirety. In order to freeze your leftovers, you must first allow them to totally cool down before placing them in a container that is airtight. In the event that it is stored correctly, your hamburger helper lasagne will maintain its quality for up to three months.
