Ice Cream Sandwich Cake Recipe
One of my favorite nostalgic foods are sandwiches made with old-fashioned ice cream. Nothing was better on a hot summer day than ice cream sandwiches and Klondike bars, which my grandma always had in her freezer.
Ingredients
- 24 ice cream sandwiches, homemade or store-bought
- 12 ounce (340.2 g) jar caramel topping (or substitute homemade)
- 12 ounce (340.2 g) jar hot fudge topping (or substitute homemade
- 8 ounce (226.8 g) Cool Whip
- Chopped peanuts
- Maraschino cherries
Instructions
The bottom of a 9×13-inch pan should be lined with half of the ice cream sandwiches, and they should be sliced to fit within the pan as required.
The ice cream sandwiches should be covered with the caramel topping that is contained in the container. Position in the freezer for a period of ten minutes.

The remaining ice cream sandwiches should be arranged on top of the caramel layer, and they should be sliced to suit the pan at the appropriate size.
Apply the hot fudge to the ice cream sandwiches and spread it evenly. The Cool Whip should be spread on top. To prepare for serving, place in the freezer until ready.
It is recommended to serve with maraschino cherries and chopped peanuts. One week is the maximum amount of time that the dessert can be kept in the freezer.

Notes
The pan that is recommended for accommodating these layers is a deep 9×13-inch pan or a lasagna-style pan. Both of these pans are ideal for fitting the layers. However, if this is not the case, a standard 9-by-13-inch pan can also be used; however, it is possible that the top layer will be higher than the sides of the pan.
Sandwich made with ice cream: In this dish, you will find traditional sandwiches in the shape of rectangles, topped with vanilla ice cream. You are free to use any kind you wish so long as your pan can accommodate two layers altogether.
Would you be able to switch up the flavors? Sure, without a doubt! It was noted earlier that you can use a variety of ice cream and toppings; for particular choices, please refer to the post that was mentioned earlier. Also, you have the option of switching up the sauces.
Perhaps you would like to make a sauce with butterscotch, strawberry, or peanut butter, or perhaps you would like to do something completely different! The brilliance lies in the fact that you can utilize a wide variety of various flavors and combinations.
