Healthy Italian Breaded Pork Chop Recipe :-Debbie, a friend of my mom’s, often had my brother and me over for dinner when we were kids because she lived right upstairs from us. We loved going, and she was always nice to us.

She made Shake-n-Bake pork chops, veggies, and Rice-a-Roni. We had these foods for the first time because my mom always made everything from scratch. We loved them.

These baked fried pork chops are amazing and so much better than Shake-n-Bake. I made them from scratch. My husband, who doesn’t usually like pork chops, LOVES these because they are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside.

They also have a lot of taste. You can also find an Air Fryer Breaded Pork Chop version here if you’d rather fry them in the air.

Healthy Italian Breaded Pork Chop Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 6 3/4-inch thick center cut boneless pork chops, trimmed, about 5 ounces each
  • kosher salt
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs
  • 1/3 cup crushed cornflakes crumbs
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/4 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper

Instructions :

Warm the oven up to 425°F. Spray some oil on a big flat baking sheet.

Add 1/2 tsp of kosher salt to both sides of the pork chops.

In a large shallow bowl, mix together the panko, cornflake crumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and black pepper. Add 3/4 teaspoon of kosher salt.

Beat the egg in a different bowl. First, dip the pork in the egg, and then in the powder mix.

Place on the baking sheet that has been prepared, and do this again with the rest of the chops.

Spray the pork with a little more oil, then put it in the oven for 20 minutes.

Storage :

Leave overs can be stored in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to four days.

FAQs :

How long do you cook pork chops in the oven?

Put these pork chops in the oven at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Some things you can do if your chops aren’t crispy:

Make sure you have a baking sheet that doesn’t stick and not one made of metal. The nonstick will help the meat cook faster and get crispier.

You might need to raise the temperature to 450 degrees if your oven is cooler. Also, your oven might have different temperature zones, so put the chops on the rack that is closest to the hottest part of the oven.
