NOTES
A more even bake can be achieved by lining the slow cooker with foil, which will also help to distribute the heat from the components beneath the pot.
To prevent the cake batter from clinging to the pot’s sides, form a cake casing out of baking parchment.
The cake batter can be made using a stand mixer. Follow the recipe’s directions and add all the ingredients to the stand mixer’s bowl. Beat everything together until it’s smooth.
The tiny variations in heat output among all brands and types of slow cookers will impact the bake timings. The recipe’s suggested timings are merely suggestions.
Ingredients: 65g cocoa powder (sifted), 100g icing sugar (sifted), 1 tablespoon butter, 90 ml milk, and 1/2 tsp vanilla essence for the chocolate mirror glaze for the slow cooker chocolate cake.
Method: Combine all the ingredients in a small stovetop pan. Stirring constantly, put the mixture over medium-high heat and bring it to a rolling boil for two minutes.
