Easy Spaghettini in Blush Sauce Recipe: Aren’t you sure that pasta has a way of bringing forth a sense of comfort? My husband is not a lover of pasta, so there are times when I feel deprived because I don’t get to eat as much of it as I want or as much as my body demands. I mean, what exactly is wrong with him? One year, he claims that he enjoys eating spaghetti. The good news is that I don’t always make solely the things that he like.
Easy Spaghettini in Blush Sauce Recipe
On occasion, I find myself craving a mouthwatering bowl of pasta, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, and accompanied by a glass of quality red wine. Nobody eats potatoes or meat! Typical carbohydrates included in pasta.
Ingredients
- 12 ounce spaghettini (or Spaghetti, uncooked)
- 26 ounce tomatoes (canned, whole)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ cup white wine
- ¾ cup half and half
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ¼ cup basil (fresh, chopped)
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
InstructionsÂ
Follow the directions on the package to prepare the pasta by placing it in a saucepan filled with boiling water and following the instructions. It is recommended to heat the olive oil in a large skillet or frying pan over a medium-medium heat in order to warm it. Onion and garlic should be added, and then the mixture should be left to cook for two minutes.
Tomatoes, spices, and wine are elements that need to be included. Cover the saucepan and keep the temperature at a moderate simmer. The sauce should be cooked for ten minutes, with continuous stirring, until it reaches a consistency that is quite thick. The dish has to be seasoned with chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
It is necessary to next add the half and half to the skillet and continue cooking it until it starts to bubble. Do a thorough mixing of it. It would be best if you cooked the spaghetti in the pan. After a few minutes of tossing and heating, the pasta should be completely covered, and the sauce should have thickened sufficiently to meet the desired consistency. Cheese and basil should be used as garnishes, respectively, before serving.

Tips
Not only do I adore the thin strands of angel hair pasta, but I also adore the fact that it is covered in a substantial amount of sauce. However, because it is a very fragile pasta, you need to be very careful not to overcook it during the cooking process. You can substitute a different type of pasta if you are concerned about this. You are free to substitute a more robust type of pasta, such as spaghetti, fettucine, or linguine, for the one that is called for.
The addition of a vegetable, such as fresh or frozen broccoli or spinach, can be accomplished by first cooking the vegetable with the sauce and then tossing it with the pasta and serving it. This gives the dish an additional splash of color and nutrients. You might also include some more protein, such as shrimp or chicken breast that has been cooked.
Adding fresh herbs is one of my favorite things to do, and fresh basil is a wonderful complement to this meal. Since I have a fresh basil plant that I keep on my window sill during the winter months, I use chopped basil instead of fresh basil from the plant. But if you don’t have any, you can either leave it out or substitute it with another fresh herb, such as parsley, if you have access to it.
