Delicious Clam Nachos Recipe:- One of the best recipes for a dish that is both delicious and distinctive is honey shrimp nachos, which are a modern take on a traditional appetiser. Here you will find a quick recipe for trashy guacamole, as well as prawns that have been seasoned with paprika and aromatics, honey and cumin-lime crema.

Delicious Clam Nachos Recipe

This is a very speedy meal that requires only five to ten minutes of preparation time. Originally conceived after trying a honey shrimp quesadilla at Mexicali Rosa’s, a restaurant in the neighbourhood.

Two cast iron pans filled with honey shrimp nachos, topped with corn, guacamole and a homemade creamy cumin lime dip.

Ingredients and Substitutions

Nacho toppings are, if we are being completely honest, a piece of art. Although I believe that these are the components that complement each other the best, you are free to use anything you have on hand. Although I don’t particularly care for bell peppers, I’m sure they would be delicious on these as well. My holy grail list of add-ons is as follows:

Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 1 pound of Shrimp, de-veined and shells removed
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil, for searing

Cumin Lime Crema

  • ½ cup Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • ½ Lime, juiced and zested
  • Salt, to taste

Guacamole

  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 tablespoons Sour Cream
  • 2 tbsp Salsa
  • Salt, to taste

Assembly

  • 4 cups Tortilla Chips
  • 2 cups Shredded Tex Mex Cheese
  • 3 tablespoons Honey, plus more to serve
  • 8 slices Pickled Jalapenos
  • 1 cup Corn
  • Parsley, optional

Substitutions and Diet Modifications

Is it possible to make these healthier? Indeed, most likely. Would it be worth it? No, almost certainly not. When I think of clean eating, I do not think of nachos as a potential food option.

On the off chance that you are serious about reducing the number of calories you consume, you can sauté the prawns with a little bit of cooking spray rather than olive oil.

Nachos on the ketogenic diet? You could serve the ingredients in a bowl or over cauliflower rice if you are following a ketogenic diet and you think this meal sounds tasty. If you want to enjoy it, you could also serve it by itself. You could exclude the honey and go for a salsa that is low in carbohydrates.

Nachos that are vegetarian? These are based on shrimp, but if you enjoy the idea of honey nachos but don’t eat meat or shellfish, you can replace the shrimp with black beans or chickpeas, or you can simply serve them without any protein at all!

I am unable to provide x; alternatively, what can I use? The following recipe is merely a suggestion. Due to the fact that I do not consume bell peppers, I do not include them in this dish; nonetheless, I believe that they would be great.

It’s possible that not everyone would enjoy the idea of topping nachos with corn. It appeals to me. Do you have white onions? Utilise them! Don’t like spicy foods? exclude the jalapeños that have been pickled. These nachos are easily modifiable in any way you like. Have a wild time!

Instructions, FAQs and Other Tips

Most of my recipes have very detailed instructions. These are nachos and are pretty hard to mess up.

Instructions

  • Prepare all the ingredients in a mise end place. This means “everything in it’s place” and it’s always my most important tip. Not only does it save time, it limits the chances that you mess up a recipe from being overwhelmed.
  • If you’re making the sauces from scratch (which I recommend), mix together all the ingredients for the guacamole and all the ingredients for the crema.

  • The guacamole should be good as is – adjust the thickness of the crema with water as needed. Both of these sauces are best if they can rest in the fridge for at least a few hours up to overnight.
  • Season and pan sear the shrimp over med-high heat (mostly for color).

  • Preheat the oven to 400F. Spread the tortillas on a baking sheet and top with shrimp, toppings of choice and cheese finishing with a drizzle of honey. For best results, layer the nachos in 2 layers instead of loading the goodies only on top.
  • Top the nachos with all sauces – guacamole, crema and salsa if desired. To finish, top with drizzled honey and parsley and/or green onions.
