Cowboy Spaghetti Recipe
Growing up, spaghetti has always been one of my go-to dinners for my kids. It’s quick, simple, and not difficult to win over the whole family. Most choosy diners will consume spaghetti.
This is a tasty and entertaining take on the classic dish. We are taking a slight departure from the Italian rendition in favor of a slightly more American one! It has some chili and pasta flavor! The tastes blend together wonderfully. It will be quite difficult to put this delicious dish down!

Ingredients
- 1 package (12 ounces) spaghetti
- 8 bacon strips, chopped
- 1-1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
Instructions
After adding the bacon to a big cast-iron skillet, cook it over medium-high heat for about 7 minutes, tossing it occasionally, until it starts to crisp up. Place the bacon slices on a platter covered with paper towels. Once the bacon has cooled down enough to handle, roughly crumble and reserve.
In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the onion and cook for about three minutes, or until softened. Add the pepper, salt, and garlic. Stir for about 30 seconds, or until garlic is aromatic.
Add the ground beef. For about five minutes, or until the beef is crumbled and no longer pink, cook and stir. Reduce the heat to medium-low and mix in the spicy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Add half of the crumbled bacon and stir.
Noodles should be broken in half. As you distribute, make sure the noodles stay apart from the ground meat. Over noodles, drizzle tomato sauce, fire-roasted tomatoes, and tomatoes with green chilies. Cook for 20 minutes with a cover on.
Take off the lid and mix the pasta and sauce together. Evenly distribute the shredded cheese over the mixture after smoothing it out. Add the leftover bacon in a sprinkle. Give the cheese five minutes to melt under cover. Add some green onions as a garnish and serve right away.
