Chocolate Monster Cookies Recipe -Simplest Recipe Ever

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 cup M&M candies
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling on cookies
  • Candy eyeballs, optional

Instructions :

Warm the oven up to 350 degrees. Put a Silpat baking mat or parchment paper on a big baking sheet and set it aside.

Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in a medium-sized bowl with a whisk. Put away

You can use a stand mixer or a hand mixer to mix the sugars and butter until they are smooth and creamy. If you need to, use a spatula to clean the sides of the bowl. Mix in the peanut butter by beating for a while.

Put the egg and vanilla extract in the bowl. Mix everything together well.

Add the dry ingredients and mix on low speed until everything is just mixed together. Do not mix too much. Add the oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms slowly and stir them in.

About 2 tablespoons of dough should be enough to make a round cookie.

Place the cookies on the baking sheets that have been prepared, leaving 2 inches of space between each one. It should take 10 to 12 minutes of baking for the cookies to get a light brown colour around the sides but stay soft in the middle.

Take the cookies out of the oven and sprinkle them with sea salt. To make the cookies look even better, you can gently press more chocolate chips and M&Ms on top of them. You can even add candy eyes for Halloween.

For about 5 minutes, or until set, let the cookies cool on the baking sheet. Move the cookies to a wire rack and let them cool fully.

Notes :

The cookies can be kept on the counter for up to three days in a jar with a lid.
