  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

 

For the Chocolate Ganache:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 8 oz (225 g) semi-sweet chocolate, finely chopped

Instructions

Prepare the Cake:

A temperature of 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) should be set in your oven. Two circular cake pans with a diameter of approximately 9 inches should be greased and floured.
