Instructions

To fry, add 2-3″ of oil to the bottom of a heavy-bottomed saucepan or Dutch oven. Adjust the heat to medium and secure a frying thermometer to the edge, making sure it is submerged in the oil but not touching the pan’s bottom. Before you start frying, the oil must get 375F (190C), which will take around ten minutes.

Oil made from vegetables

In the meantime, mix the flour, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to make your breading mixture. Put aside.

One cup (125 g) of all-purpose flour, one-half teaspoon each of salt, ground black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder

Whisk the egg and buttermilk together in a another basin.
One large egg and ½ cup (118 ml) buttermilk

After the oil reaches 375°F (190°C), cut the pickles into four equal pieces and cook them in batches.

Three kosher pickled dills

Dredge slices in buttermilk/egg combination, shake off excess flour mixture, then coat again with flour mixture.

Gently place the pickle slices in the oil and cook them for 90 seconds on each side, or until they turn golden brown. Fry 3–4 slices at a time.

Remove from oil using a slotted spoon or strainer, then transfer to a dish covered with paper towels. Before you cook your next batch of pickles, make sure the oil reaches 375F (190C).

The best way to eat fried pickles is warm. Serve with dipping sauce, if desired; to make the dipping sauce, put all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well blended.

One tablespoon of BBQ sauce, two tablespoons of ranch dressing, one teaspoon each of ketchup and mayonnaise,A dash of ground black pepper and a dash of Tabasco sauce
