Apple Walnut Chicken Salad Recipe :-A tasty variation on the traditional chicken salad is Apple Walnut Chicken Salad. Apple, walnut, celery, green onion, and chunks of celery in a creamy, somewhat sweet dressing with fresh lemon juice! As a chicken salad, stuff croissants with this mixture and top with green leaf lettuce. It’s a great weeknight meal or lunch alternative.

 

Apple Walnut Chicken Salad Recipe

I adore chicken salad so much! Something about the chicken-filled, crunchy celery and walnut dressing mixed with some sweeter components like apple chunks and brown sugar is appealing. This dish for apple walnut chicken salad is a hit with my family. Even my kid asks me to cook extra so she has lunch at school every day of the week.

 

Ingredients

Creamy Dressing

  • 1¼ cups mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Apple Walnut Chicken Salad

  • 4 cups chopped or shredded cooked chicken
  • 1½ cups small chopped Gala apple
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onion
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced celery

 

Instructions

A small mixing dish should be used to combine all of the ingredients for the creamy dressing. Using a wire whisk, stir the mixture until it is cohesive, creamy, and smooth. Put aside for later. Put the chicken, apple, walnuts, green onion, and celery into a large mixing basin.

Mix well enough to combine. After pouring the creamy dressing over it, thoroughly blend everything until it is completely covered in the dressing and in the dressing itself.

It is possible to serve this chicken salad immediately; however, for optimal results and flavour, it is recommended that it be refrigerated for one to two hours prior to serving.
