Occasionally, I like to replace some of the bittersweet chocolate with semi-sweet chocolate, which makes these incredibly dark and delicious! You can certainly experiment with the ingredients; today, we made a variation for nut lovers. Almonds, walnuts, peanuts, and marshmallows are all stuffed inside them. Chocolate bits or maybe some sort of chopped up cookie would be great too, if you’re feeling very daring! Our batch is disappearing fast, so these easy sweets will be ideal for the holidays if they last through the weekend!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (14) oz can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 cup roasted almonds
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 (10) oz bag miniature marshmallows

INSTRUCTIONS

Chocolate chips, butter, and condensed milk should be mixed together in a large glass bowl that is tall enough to be placed inside of your microwave. It takes three minutes in the microwave on medium heat.

Take out of the microwave and wait for the marshmallows to cool down to a point where they won’t melt (this should take around a couple of minutes).

Incorporate the marshmallows and almonds, making sure that they are coated in chocolate in an even manner.

After lining a 9×13 pan with wax paper, pour the mixture into the pan. Put the mixture into the pan and press it down firmly. Before serving, cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it have a cooling time of two to three hours.
