Ingredients :

  • 10.5 ounce can condensed cream of chicken with herbs soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup sliced green onion
  • 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken (I used a family size rotisserie chicken)
  • 2 sleeves Ritz crackers, crushed
  • ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, melted

Instructions :

Warm the oven up to 350F. Spray non-stick cooking spray on a 2.5-quart baking dish or a 9×9 square baking dish.
Put one 10.5-ounce can of condensed cream of chicken with herbs soup, one cup of sour cream, and half a cup of sliced green onion in a big bowl.
Then add 3 cups of cooked, shred chicken and mix it in. Put the mixture in the dish that has been made.
Put two sleeved Ritz crackers that have been broken up and half a stick of hot salted butter in the same bowl.
Put the cracker mix on top of the dish.
Take it out of the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the cracker topping is golden brown and the dish is bubbling.

Notes :

For a different taste, try adding one cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the chicken mix.

CAN I FREEZE RITZ CHICKEN CASSEROLE?

I always need more chicken recipes. But there are times when you don’t need a big dish. You can divide this batch into two smaller pans. Make one now and put it in the freezer for later.

Like with all freezer meals, it’s super important that you wrap it up well so you’re not dealing with freezer burn later on.

WHAT OTHER SEASONINGS CAN I USE?

You can have fun with this casserole by adding different spices and tastes.

You could mix garlic powder and onion powder into the cream.

Those are the spices that most people always have on hand. You could use almost any flavor that you would use on chicken.
