Grilled Peaches with Mascarpone Ice Cream Recipe :The ultimate grilled summertime dessert is these grilled peaches served with mascarpone ice cream. It’s visually stunning, sweet, kid-friendly, and somewhat healthful. Ideal for a warm day, the delicate sweetness of the mascarpone ice cream contrasts beautifully with the luscious peaches.
I adore grilling fresh peaches because it brings out the richer flavor of the delicious summer fruit. Nothing compares to the perfection of a grilled peach.
This recipe is equally delicious with store-bought vanilla ice cream if you’re in a hurry. Vanilla beans are my fave.
Grilled Peaches with Mascarpone Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 ripe peaches cut in half, pit removed
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp graham cracker crumbs
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
As you get ready to grill directly over medium heat, light your grill.
In a sizable bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla essence; beat with a hand mixer. When frothy, add the heavy whipping cream and beat until combined. Put the container in the fridge.
Put the peaches on the grill, cut side down, over direct heat, and cook until the grill marks are deeply browned and charred. Two or three minutes, roughly. After 90 seconds, flip the peaches over and grill the other side.
Take the peaches off the grill and put mascarpone ice cream inside of each one. Sprinkle some graham cracker crumbs and maple syrup on top.
FAQs AND QUESTIONs
How Does Ice Cream With Mascarpone Taste?
Italian cheese is used to make mascarpone ice cream, which is incredibly creamy—more creamy than most other ice cream. It’s less sweet than regular cream, but it’s still mildly sweet.
The pairing of mascarpone ice cream and grilled peaches is ideal. Naturally, the creamy, barely sweet ice cream is enhanced by the luscious peaches.
How Ripe Should Peaches Be For Grilling?
The tastiest peaches are usually slightly squishy when eaten as a snack. Like if you pushed hard enough, you could stick your nose into them.
The peach should be ripe but still firm before grilling. If you begin with a peach that is already soft, you will have a mess since the peach will soften as it is grilling.
Why Do You Grill A Peach?
Peaches are naturally sweet, and the heat from the grill dramatically intensifies this flavor as the peach itself becomes softer. This is made feasible by the Maillard reaction’s caramelization of the sugars.
In addition to being sweeter, the peaches will pick up a hint of smoke from the grill. This adds a level of taste richness that comes from grilling alone.
That being said, you can make these on a stovetop or grill pan if you don’t have a grill. In that instance, to obtain as near to wood-grilled flavor as possible, I would suggest seasoning each peach half with a small pinch of smoked salt.
