Instruction

Scrub the skin of limes with dish soap or hand soap to remove any wax or pesticides that may be present. Lime should be washed thoroughly.

Each lime should have its ends sliced off, and then it should be cut into ⅛ths. Blend together half of the water, half of the sugar, and half of the limes in a blender, then pulse the mixture between five and seven times.

The lime pulp should be pressed with a spoon to assist in the release of juices, and then the remaining lime skins and pulp should be discarded.

Pour the mixture through a strainer with a fine mesh into a pitcher. Proceed with the remaining half of the water, sugar, and limes in the same manner.

Sweetened condensed milk should be stirred into the limeade, and the beverage should be served with a large amount of ice and small slices of lime for decoration.

If the beverage has any sort of bitter flavor, you can adjust the sweetness by adding a little bit more sugar or sweetened condensed milk as required.

Notes

Limes that have a peel that is smooth and thin are the most juicy, and they have a lower likelihood of making the beverage bitter.

In the event that you do not possess a blender, you might substitute it with one cup of freshly squeezed lime juice and then incorporate it into the mixture of water, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk; this would be an alternative. In my experience, the skin contributes a significant amount of flavor on its own due to the zest that is removed from it during the process of blending; yet, this method is still an excellent option even if you do not have access to a blender.
