East African Braised Chicken Simples Recipe Ever

Ingredients
- 1 chicken breast (with skin and bone, cut in half)
- 2Â chicken drumsticks
- 2Â chicken wings
- 2 chicken thighs (with skin and bones)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion (sliced)
- 1 tablespoon ginger (fresh, chopped)
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon (ground)
- ½ teaspoon cardamom (ground)
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup chicken broth (low sodium )
- ½ cup white wine
- 3 tablespoon dates (pitted, chopped)
- 3 tablespoon golden raisins
InstructionÂ
Warm the oven up to 350℉. Add salt and pepper to the chicken. Set a Dutch oven on medium-high heat. Pour oil into the pan and swirl it around to coat it.
After you add the chicken, cook for four minutes on each side, or until it turns golden brown. Take the chicken out of the pan and set it aside.
Turn down the heat to medium-low and add the onion. Stir the food often for 10 minutes. The onion will start to turn brown.
Put in garlic, ginger, curry powder, cinnamon, cardamom, red pepper, and red pepper after 10 minutes. Add the white wine and chicken broth and mix well.
