Berry Brioche Bread Pudding Simples Recipe Ever
Ingredients :
- 1 loaf brioche bread ((about 1 1/4 lb), a day old)
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup brown sugar (packed)
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 cups half and half
- 6 ounce blueberries
- 6 ounce raspberries
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Instructions :
Use cooking spray or butter to cover a 9×13-inch baking dish. Cut the brioche bread into 1-inch cubes and put them in the casserole dish that has been made.
First, mix the eggs and sugar together with a whisk. It’s time to add the vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add the half-and-half and mix it in.
Cover the bread cubes with plastic wrap and put them in the fridge for at least 20 minutes or up to overnight.
Warm the oven up to 375℉.
Take the dish out of the fridge and add the butterscotch chips and berries.
Place plastic over the top and bake for 45 minutes. Turn the heat up to 425℉, take off the foil, and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.
Put the baking dish on a rack to cool down. Wait about 10 minutes before adding the powdered sugar. Warm up and serve.
Notes :
How do you make half-and-half? Mix whole milk and light cream together until they are equal parts. It has about 10 to 12 percent fat on average. On the dairy aisle of your local food store, half-and-half is next to the milk and cream.
What kind of bread can I use instead of brioche? Without a doubt! You can use any smooth white bread that is cut into thick slices, like Texas toast. You can also use sweet breads like challah, raisin bread, hot cross buns, or even cinnamon rolls.
How should I store leftovers: Put leftovers in a jar that won’t let air in and put it in the fridge for up to 5 days. You can serve it cold or hot.
What other toppings can I use if I want to: You could add caramel sauce, maple syrup, or whipped cream on top of the pudding.
Yes, you can make this in individual ramekins.
You can make everything in one big dish, then move it to individual ramekins and put them in the fridge to chill. As usual, bake, but after 15 minutes, take off the paper and bake for another 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
