N.A.A.C.P. Calls on Biden to Halt Arms Deliveries to Israel :-
In a statement demonstrating the growing divide between President Joe Biden and organisations that have sway over his voter base, the NAACP is urging him to “draw the red line” and immediately stop arms transfers to Israel.
The NAACP, which claims to be the greatest civil rights organisation in the United States, said in a statement released this week that the administration is not doing enough to stop civilian deaths and that the “unspeakable” murder being done against Palestinians in Gaza is intolerable.

President and CEO of the NAACP Derrick Johnson stated, “As the nation’s preeminent civil rights organisation, it is our duty to speak out against injustice and seek to hold our elected officials accountable for the promises they’ve made.” “The Biden administration’s most recent statement is helpful, but it falls short. Calling for a ceasefire is one thing; actually implementing the necessary steps to achieve universal liberty is quite another.
Biden’s three-phase plan, which would result in a permanent peace in Gaza, the release of captives from both sides, and the restoration of Gaza, was mentioned in the statement last week. Although reports and statements from both sides have demonstrated that this assertion is false and that Israeli officials were the ones who refused to sign on to the arrangement, Biden and his officials have stated that the idea was supported by Israeli officials and opposed by Hamas leaders.
Johnson continued, seemingly attributing some of the violence Israel is committing against Palestinians to Hamas. “The NAACP calls on President Biden to draw the red line and indefinitely end the shipment of weapons and artillery to the state of Israel and other states that supply weapons to Hamas and other terrorist organisations,” Johnson said.
