Mongolian Beef Noodles-Step by Step Guide :-The traditional Mongolian beef stir fry, which is tender and seasoned, is paired with ramen noodles, carrots, and snow peas to ensure that this delicious and simple dinner can be prepared in just one skillet.

Mongolian Beef Noodles-Step by Step Guide

Ingredients :

  • 10 oz beef sirloin or flank steak, NY Strip
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp cooking oil plus more for stir frying
  • 4 servings ramen noodles
  • 1-2 stalk carrots thinly sliced
  • 3 oz snow peas
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped

Mongolian Stir Fry Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch

Instructions :

Cut the beef into thin strips that go across the grain. In a medium bowl, mix the meat, soy sauce, corn starch, and vegetable oil. Mix the spices into the meat to coat it. Put it in for 30 minutes.
While you wait for the meat to marinate, boil water in a medium-sized pot and follow the directions on the package to cook the ramen noodles. Take the water out and set it away. If they stick together, rinse them with cold water.
Put all the ingredients for Mongolian stir fry sauce in a bowl and mix them together. Mix with a whisk.
Fill a big pan or wok with heating oil and heat it over high to medium-high heat. When it’s hot, add the beef. The beef should be done when it’s no longer pink, which should take about one to two minutes on high heat. Do not overcook the meat; take it out right away and set it aside.
If you need to, add more cooking oil. Put carrots and snow peas in it. Always stir them until they’re done (brighter colors but still crunchy). It should only take a minute or two.
Put noodles, beef, and stir-fry sauce in the pan. Mix the noodles with the sauce by tossing them together. Take it off the heat right away.
Add green onions as a garnish. Serve and have fun!

Frequently Asked Questions :

How do I make the beef more tender?

1) Be sure to cut them into thin strips across the grain.

2) Don’t cook something too long. When stir-frying, they should only be cooked for a few minutes. As soon as they are no longer pink, take them off the heat right away.

3) Choose a good cut of meat. Ribeye, sirloin, and strip steak are all pretty soft.

Can I use another type of noodles?

You can make this with rice noodles, egg noodles, Hokier noodles, lo mien noodles, or even spaghetti noodles! No matter what you use, make sure to soften the noodles according to the package directions.

You can do this by cooking them or letting them soak in hot water for a while.

I am short on time! Can I skip the marinating step?

That should be fine, yes! You don’t have to let the meat sit, but you should still mix it with the marinade sauce.

If you marinate meat for 30 minutes, it will taste better, but the marinade and Mongolian sauce will still cover the beef and make it tasty.
