AEW’s Thunder Rosa Discusses Her First ‘Holy S***’ Moment In Wrestling :- Thanks to her efforts in AEW, as well as prior to that in the NWA and independent scene, Thunder Rosa, the former AEW Women’s World Champion, has emerged as one of the most well-known and respected female wrestlers in the world in recent years. Even she, a well-known wrestler, has experienced periods of stardom. Rosa disclosed her first real “holy s**t” experience in wrestling on a recent episode of “Busted Open Radio,” and it turned out to be when she met the person she currently works with.

“The initial encounter with Serena Deeb,” Rosa remarked. “She walks in and I’m going to wrestle her,” she said while we were working out in Jacksonville. Before I became a wrestler, I went to see Rosa and Cheerleader Melissa wrestle. Rosa is from the Bay Area and is a legend in the industry. I trained with her a little bit, so I always loved how Cheerleader Melissa wrestled. I drove from Oakland to Los Angeles to see her. I recall thinking to myself as I watched their 30-minute match that “I want to wrestle like that when I become a wrestler.”

Rosa and Deeb proceeded to engage in three AEW contests starting . The trilogy began with Rosa winning a non-title match  followed by Deeb winning a fight for the NWA Women’s World Championship  and ending with Rosa defeating Deeb to keep her AEW Women’s World Championship at Double or Nothing .

The Coolest AEW Debuts We’ve Seen So Far

Ever since its establishment, All Elite Wrestling has gained recognition for its spectacular unexpected debuts that occur at pay-per-view events, tournaments, open challenges, battle royales, or even just when nobody is expecting it. Over the years, Tony Khan has frequently hinted at significant acquisitions and has, for the most part, delivered.

Any moment now, a former member of the WWE main roster or a talent from NXT might show up and completely alter the organization. Even highly regarded independent talent has made an unexpected appearance on AEW television and gone on to achieve greater success in their professions.

Several of the biggest stars in professional wrestling have spectacularly made their way to All Elite Wrestling, making their debuts in some of the largest events the promotion has ever hosted. This list showcases the best debuts we’ve seen in AEW so far, even though many of these have been much more than that mid.

Jon Moxley

In 2019, Jon Moxley made what was perhaps one of the company’s biggest debuts ever when he joined Double or Nothing. As Chris Jericho was filming a post-match promo in Las Vegas, the eventual AEW World Champion moved through the crowd in typical Mox flair.

Without any kind of entrance music, Moxley made his way to the ring to audible gasps that quickly turned into a whirlwind of cheering. Then he stepped into the ring, tilting his head, twirling around, and making eye contact with Jericho.

After the bout, Mox not only defeated Chris Jericho but also launched an attack on Kenny Omega. The two engaged in combat on the big poker chip set piece, where Mox used a fireman’s carry slam to knock Omega out. It’s safe to say that Mox’s picture towering over the AEW supporters hinted at his future triumph there.

Eddie Kingston

On July 22, 2020, Eddie Kingston shocked AEW supporters by showing up to accept Cody Rhodes’ open challenge for the TNT Championship. As one of the best talkers in the game, Kingston made a mark right away by criticizing both Arn Anderson and Rhodes.

Another contender who made his debut in the squared circle without any entrance music was Kingston. Eddie called Arn a “used-to-be legend,” and he let his comments guide him to the ring. Then he turned to face Cody, telling him that Rhodes wouldn’t last a day in his position.

Kingston continued by saying that even though Cody was a grown man, the people he was facing during his open challenges were all children.

The two fighters proceeded to have an extremely remarkable fight. In the ring, Kingston demonstrated his superior talent. Even though he lost, he had an immediate influence on All Elite Wrestling. Soon after, Eddie signed a contract with the corporation, signaling the company’s recognition of yet another outstanding independent talent.

CM Punk

It was one of the worst kept secrets in the annals of professional wrestling, but it also turned out to be one of the most amazing AEW debuts ever. CM Punk made his eagerly anticipated comeback to professional wrestling on “AEW Rampage: The First Dance” in his native Chicago, Illinois, following a seven-year hiatus.

The fans went crazy. A few were even crying. The arena was filled with the sound of Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality” as the event began without any kind of preamble. Punk dropped to his knees in the doorway, soaking in the moment. After that, he down the ramp and dove into the throng.

Punk gave a fantastic promo explaining why he had decided to return to professional wrestling after a seven-year hiatus. Each and every fan in attendance received a special CM Punk ice cream bar, which was the cherry on top.

Adam Cole

At the conclusion of AEW’s All Out PPV in 2021, former Undisputed Era leader and NXT Champion Adam Cole made one of his two significant debuts. Just as Kenny Omega appeared to end the act, the lights abruptly went out. The graphic of “Bay Bay” was projected across the entranceway screens as the song “You know it’s all about the Boom” suddenly blasted throughout the arena.

Adam Cole approached the stage slowly while Mikey Rukus’ spectacular new entrance music, “All About Tha (BOOM!)” played. Adam Cole stunned the audience with brand-new songs and logos, and the presentation was flawless.

Until Cole eventually embraced his comrades in the ring and formally rejoined The Elite, it was unclear what his objectives were. This was a historic time in AEW’s history. The supporters had no idea that this was only the beginning.

Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa, the NWA Women’s World Champion, faced Serena Deeb in her AEW debut on September 2, 2020’s “AEW Dynamite.” Thunder Rosa’s unofficial debut signaled the start of her supremacy in the AEW Women’s Division, even though she hasn’t signed a formal contract with the company yet.

Additionally, it was one of the first occasions the premier women’s champion of another organization had been seen on AEW television. Deeb and Rosa’s fight was an incredible demonstration of their combined technical and experienced skill. Rosa took the win and raised her NWA Women’s World Championship above her head with pride.

In the end, this debut profoundly altered the future course of the AEW women’s division. Since then, the eventual AEW World Women’s Champion has improved both the women’s AEW division and women’s wrestling in the nation at large.

Toni Storm

Toni Storm debuted on “AEW Dynamite” on March 30, 2022, when she faced the Bunny in a qualifying match for the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Cup. Toni Storm was the surprise talent launch that Tony Khan had been hinting at, much to the delight of the audience present.

With a new look and concept inspired by Heart’s “Barracuda,” Storm—who was glaringly underutilized in the WWE—made an amazing debut. Storm’s supporters cheered her on right away after her stunning victory.

In the end, Storm was defeated by Britt Baker in the tournament semifinals. Storm teamed up with Thunder Rosa and competed in a number of high-profile battles before ultimately emerging as the Interim AEW World Women’s Champion, while Britt went on to win the competition. Thunder Rosa’s return is eagerly anticipated by fans, who are also curious to see how their newfound bond with Storm will develop in the future.

Ruby Soho

Ruby Soho made an unexpected entrance in the Casino Battle Royale as the Joker at AEW’s All Out 2021. The former member of the WWE Riott Squad adopted the new moniker in reference to the topic of Rancid’s song “Ruby Soho.” Being a lifelong professional wrestling fan, the band’s Lars Fredrickson was all about the persona.

The audience responded quite well to Soho’s unexpected appearance. She would go on to triumph in the Casino Battle Royal, giving her a chance to challenge Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., the AEW World Women’s Champion at the time.

Unfortunately, Soho hasn’t yet won the big one in AEW, despite the fact that she’s frequently a strong favorite in many of these championship and tournament opportunities she’s had thus far. Recently, Soho had surgery to fix a damaged nose, which kept him out of action. I guess we may expect a surprise comeback from her soon.
