5 Natural Ways to Boost Collagen : Most of the proteins in our bodies are collagen. Other places where it can be found are in muscles, fat, and ligaments. We need it for our bones to be strong and for the different parts of our bodies to fit together. The cells that hold collagen look strong and young when their collagen levels are normal.

Another type of protein in the body is elastin. Elastin is found in parts of the body that squeeze, like the lungs and airways. This is possible because elastin has an amazing property: it can snap back into place and keep its original shape. These are both proteins that are found in skin. They work together to make skin look and feel different. Skin that has enough collagen and elastin is not only younger-looking, but it’s also stronger.

1. Aloe vera

  • Aloe vera juice has been used for a long time to help burns heal and feel better. The aloe vera plant improves collagen production when it is put on the skin or even taken by mouth, which is why it fixes cuts and burns.
  • This trait that helps cells grow can help your face make more collagen. Pure aloe can be put on the face, or there are many items on the market that contain it that can also be used.
  • At least one study says that taking an aloe vera supplement by mouth will make your face better.

2. Foods rich in vitamin C

  • Making hyaluronic acid requires a lot of vitamin C. Hyaluronic acid is said to help joints feel better and speed up the healing process.
  • Foods that contain hyaluronic acid will not fully help your body if you do not get enough vitamin C. Multiple studies have shown that hyaluronic acid may help the body make more collagen. Hyaluronic acid is already in our bodies, but as we get older, our bodies make less of it.
  • The body can make more hyaluronic acid and collagen, which are both good for the skin, by eating foods that are high in vitamin C and amino acids. Vitamin C-rich foods include oranges, red peppers, kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and grapes. You can buy concentrated hyaluronic acid at the shop.

3. Ginger and ginseng

  • Many studies have shown that Panax ginseng can slow down the aging process. Ginseng is taken by the skin without making it behave badly, which is what many chemical drugs do. It also helps the skin keep its shape.
  • Besides that, it has been shown to help collagen grow. Many studies have shown that ginseng can protect skin from sun damage caused by UVB rays.
  • When you take ginseng supplements or drink tea with ginseng in it, antioxidants are released into your bloodstream. These can help protect healthy cells and give your skin a healthy glow.

4. Cilantro

  • A lot of recipes call for cilantro, which is also called coriander leaf. It has vitamin C in it, which has been linked to more collagen being made.
  • Linolenic acid, which is found in cilantro, has been shown to help keep your face from getting older. The antioxidants in linolenic acid fight the free radicals in your blood, which damage good skin cells.
  • You can buy cilantro juice and take it by mouth to clean your body.

5. Algae

  • Marine plant extracts are ending up being used in more and more beauty products. Most skin damage comes from “oxidation,” which is when your skin is exposed to things like smog that can slow cell growth.
  • It is possible for algae to stop oxidation from destroying your skin’s collagen and flexibility. Most health food shops sell algae products that you can take by mouth.

You must avoid this

Keep your skin from getting too hot in the sun or a tanning bed if you want it to look younger and healthy. Smoking can also make your skin age faster than it should. One way to keep your healthy glow is to spend time outside while wearing sunscreen.

There are some side effects to some collagen products. The most common ones are making too much calcium, having an allergic response, or having joint pain. When you take any kind of collagen vitamin, be very careful if you are allergic to fish or meat.

  3. Hi! Loved this article, so informative! I would love to print it and save it, so I don’t have to rely on my phone. Yes, this says I’m old… 75 . I grew up with this advise… Don’t rub or scub and don’t be too ruff on your face but thats all I’ve ever done. I use a wash cloth with Zest soap and sloff off all dead cells. I’m always getting complement on my skin and makeup, hardly any wringles. Thanks, Mom!
