10 Super Cute Hummingbird Moments and Stories

1. Cute Hummingbird Friend

This ruby-throated hummingbird would visit and perch on the deck chair adjacent to mine. According to Janis Volker, “He seemed to be looking for a friend.” Enjoy admiring adorable hummingbirds? These adorable pictures of young hummingbirds will please you.

2. A Heartwarming Visitor

“After my mom died away, I was filled with intense sadness and intense longing for her. This tiny hummer would come down every day and pose for me. The bird would appear to be saying, “Hello, it’s me again. Good to see you,” as we would lock eyes. Jet is the name I gave him. Victoria Peterson says, “I felt my mom was with us, and she sent Jet to bring me comfort.”

3. Costa’s Hummingbird Cutie

“While celebrating my Oma’s 90th birthday, I went to Palm Springs, California, and got this picture of a cute Costa’s hummingbird.” We were heading back from birthday breakfast when we noticed the hummingbirds darting in and out of the flowers outside her condo door.

This man was sitting for a while when I was able to take his picture. Stephanie Mehmed Bialowicz adds, “It’s a treasured memory from a wonderful visit; hummingbirds are my Oma’s favorite.”

4. Hummingbird Family

This is Sally holding her recently hatched offspring. Her decision to build her tiny family a home in our front yard tree makes us feel so special. After hours of gusts of up to thirty miles per hour whipping the branch they were nesting in, we were overjoyed to see them this particular morning. As a good mother, Sally watched carefully while she talked and fed from a limb above them.

I believe that we were more anxious about the small children than she was. Lou Ann Balla writes, “We spent hours watching as the babies would stretch and extend their wings in the tiny nest she so expertly crafted.”

5. Grandmother Memories

Hummingbirds are strong and intelligent birds that I have always liked, not for their adorable and little appearance. Ever since I was a small child, I have loved watching these birds hum around my grandmother’s garden. They were also her favorite. She and her passion for them come to mind every time I engage with one.

There is an old proverb that states that if you see a red bird, someone is likely thinking of you. But that proverb has always had a stronger meaning for me in relation to hummingbirds,” adds Landon Jones.

6. Adorable Anna’s Hummingbird

“This picture holds special meaning for me because we didn’t have any yard landscaping when I bought my house in Silverton, Oregon, in 2018.” I’ve put a lot of effort into cultivating a few plants that are good for birds. Sara Muzechenko says, “This little cute Anna’s hummingbird is perched on top of the beautiful gladiolas right before they bloomed.”

7. Fluffy Feathers

“This picture was taken in my backyard. This Sunday afternoon, the hummingbirds were quite active. The temperature was somewhat below average. This picture, in my opinion, is unique since he is completely fluffed out. Shane Heskett says, “Kinda cute!”

8. Rainy Day Fun

I was watching this little ruby-throated hummingbird through the dining room window as he took a little summer shower. It was very adorable to watch him constantly wag his tail and raise his head, adds Cindy Treger.

9. A Rewarding Rescue

I’m very fond of this female hummingbird. She got stuck in our garage’s top rafters, helplessly, until my husband and I were able to rescue her. Taken in our backyard during the fall, this picture was taken precisely the day before she moved south. Kerry Loving says, “I like to think she treated me to this photo session as gratitude for saving her life.”

10. Healing From Nature

“In Costa Rica, I captured this image of a white-necked jacobin. Beyond the hummingbird’s beauty, the reason this photo holds special meaning for me is that four months prior, I suffered a terrible break to my ankle. I had to relearn how to walk after undergoing three major surgeries to fix it.

I knew that traveling to Costa Rica would mend and be a salve for my spirit, therefore that was my intention. Indeed, it was! Catherine Paszkowska recalls, “I felt at ease and happy again after seeing the wonderful flora and fauna.
