  • 2 tsp pine nuts
  • 3 tsp extra virgin olive oil (1 tsp at a time)

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS :

Take a can of chick peas and drain the water out of it.

Put the chickpeas in a sieve and run cold water over them for a few minutes.

Take the chickpeas out of the water and put them on a paper towel.

Take off the skins of all the chickpeas and throw them away (Very Important Step).

Take the stems off of the parsley and put it in a food processor.

Add salt and grind the parsley until it looks like powder.

Take it out of the processor bowl and set it away.

On low heat, toast the pine nuts and sesame seeds in a small pan.

Use a wooden spoon to stir them slowly until both sides are brown.

Toast the seeds and put them in a blender. Slowly pulse the seeds.

Add 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, one tablespoon at a time, after two to three pulses.

Add more water and process until the mixture is smooth.

Put the chickpeas in the bowl of the food processor.

Slowly add 1/2 cup of almond milk while the ingredients are being ground at a low speed.

Put the ground parsley and red pepper flakes in the bowl of a food processor.

Mix them on low speed until the mixture is smooth and easy to spread. You can add almond milk if it’s too thick.

Salt and ground pepper should be added.
Move to a bowl for serving and serve. See tips on how to store it.
