There are different kinds of candy hidden in each brownie, so every bite will be different. Great for Halloween candy that you don’t need anymore!

Ingredients

  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar (granulated)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 16 ounce butter (unsalted)
  • 2 ½ cups cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups halloween candy (lightly chopped)

Instructions

Warm the oven up to 300℉. Use cooking spray to grease a 9×13-inch pan. On medium speed, beat the eggs until they are light and fluffy. After you add the sugar and brown sugar, beat for another 30 seconds.

Add the rest of the ingredients and mix them in. Put the chopped candy in the pan that has been greased. Use a spatula to spread the batter out over the candy after you pour it on top of it.

Set the oven to 45 minutes. Put a toothpick in the middle of the pan to see if it’s done. If it comes out clean, it’s done. Place the brownies on a rack and let them cool down.

If you want, you can decorate the brownies for Halloween after cutting them into squares. I put bones and tombstones to use.

Notes

In this recipe, don’t use gummy or chalky Halloween candies. The best thing is chocolate.

Cut brownies should be kept at room temperature in a container that won’t let air in. They’ll last for one to two days. Putting them in the fridge would make them dry out, but leaving them out at room temperature will keep them moist and tasty.

To freeze, let them cool all the way down, then put them in a container that won’t let air in. You can freeze them for up to three months. Wait until you’re ready to serve to let it thaw.
