Easy Cowboy Caviar Recipe

INGREDIENTS :

1 . Black beans

  • Each and every bite that you take from a can of black beans is packed with a lot of flavor and protein.

2 . Black-eyed peas

  • The fact that black-eyed peas are a unique ingredient and that they do not receive as much attention as they should is one of the reasons why we appreciate serving them. I can’t get enough of these!

3 . Corn

  • For optimal results, use canned corn that has the complete kernel. Additionally, the yellow kernels provide you with a splash of color.

4 . Bell Peppers

  • By Using peppers of a wide range of colors is highly recommended. With the addition of yellow, red, or orange, the dip is given a great deal of brightness.

5 . Roma Tomatoes

  • You are free to use different types of tomatoes if you so like; nevertheless, Roma tomatoes are particularly hardy and manage to withstand the vinegar and other components of the dish.

6 . Red Onion

  • It will turn out a gorgeous shade of purple if you dice it up and throw it in.

7 . Cilantro

  • As long as the cilantro is chopped very small, it will be excellent. The flavor that is added to the Texas caviar by adding cilantro is one that I really enjoy.

8 . Olive Oil

  • Olive oil is a great source of antioxidants, and you don’t need a lot of it to improve your immune system.

9 . Red wine vinegar

  • In this dip, the acidic flavor of the red wine vinegar is something that I simply cannot get enough of. It is incredible, and it creates a nice balance between the flavors.

10 . Lime juice

  • An uncomplicated dip recipe can be made more flavorful by include a small amount of lime juice in the mix. Yummy!

11 . Garlic

  • Garlic is an ingredient that can never be used incorrectly in this recipe for cowboy caviar. Combined with the other components, it is really wonderful.

12 . Salt

  • When it comes to salt, you are free to add more or less depending on your preferences; however, we often keep to about one teaspoon.

 INSTRUCTIONS :

The black beans and black-eyed peas that were canned should be drained and rinsed.

Mix together in a large bowl the following ingredients: black beans, black-eyed peas, corn, bell peppers, tomatoes, onion, and cilantro.

In a relatively small bowl, combine the olive oil, vinegar, lime juice, garlic, and salt by whisking them together.

Place the beans and vegetables in a bowl, pour the dressing over them, and then gently toss everything together.

Before placing the container in the refrigerator for at least two hours, make sure it is covered.

Using a slotted spoon, transfer the salad to another bowl when you are ready to serve it, making sure to leave any leftover dressing behind.

Take a bite out of it with some chips!
