5-minute Healthy Blueberry Frozen Yogurt Recipe – Know the Secret Tips

You can’t resist frozen delights. Like a cool watermelon granita or pineapple dole whip, it relieves the heat of summer and is pleasant.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • ⅓ cup full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Select and get rid of any poor berries. Put blueberries in the freezer. Place Greek yoghurt in ice cube pans and freeze.

For optimal consistency, use a Vitamix. Puree frozen blueberries, Greek yoghurt, lemon zest, honey (or maple syrup), and a small amount of salt in a blender until smooth.

To achieve a delicate swirl consistency, you can serve it straight from the bowl or cup. Drill it into serving bowls to make it look delicious. Transfer to a freezer-safe container and place in the freezer for a few hours.

Spoon frozen yoghurt with blueberries into serving bowls right before serving. Add fresh mint leaves and frozen blueberries as garnish. Serve right away.

Tips

Though the crazy weather made a lot of crops start later than usual, berry season will be over very soon, so this is a great time to stock up on all sorts of berries.

When I get them from the farmers market or U-pick farms, I eat a couple handfuls first (no self-control around berries, sorry) and set aside only the ones I will use immediately; the rest I make sure to freeze so I can use them at a later date.

To do this, I wash & pick through my blueberries, removing any stems that may still be hanging around. Then I shake off the excess water and pat dry them with paper towels. Next, I line a cookie sheet with foil, spread the berries out in a single layer, and stick them in the freezer for about 20 minutes.

After that, I put about a cup or two in individual Ziploc bags, seal ‘em, and put them back into the freezer until I’m ready to use them. And that’s it! Now you can use your berries in all sorts of recipes for months to come.
