Since the conclusion of the Smallville television series in 2011, the DC television show has continued to exist in a number of different formats. Although it may not have been in the same format as the television show, the eleventh season of Smallville did in fact take place, but it was a comic book series.
Over the course of the eleventh season of Smallville, which aired between 2012 and 2014, the greater world of The CW drama was expanded upon. The show explored Clark’s first year as Superman, which included encounters with other characters such as Batman and Wonder Woman. In the 2019 crossover, Smallville was finally acknowledged by the Arrowverse franchise. This recognition occurred during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover as well.
Welling and Erica Durance, who played Lois Lane on Smallville, both reprised their roles for the first time since 2011. This was the first time we’ve seen them together since 2011. At the time of their cameo appearance, viewers were given the opportunity to travel to their world, which was referred to as Earth-167, and receive a taste of what their lives were like in the present day.
