Instructions:
- Preheat your oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius). Prepare a bundt pan measuring 10 inches by greasing and flouring it.
- The butter that has been softened and the granulated sugar should be creamed together in a large mixing bowl until the mixture is frothy and light.
- One egg at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition, add the eggs to the mixture. Incorporate the butter flavouring and vanilla extract into the mixture.
- The flour, baking powder, and salt should be mixed together in a separate basin using a sifter.
- While doing so, gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, replacing the buttermilk with each addition. Continue to mix until everything is just mixed.
- To ensure that the chopped pecans are dispersed equally throughout the batter, be sure to fold them in.
- After the bundt pan has been prepared, pour the batter into it and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for sixty to seventy minutes in an oven that has been preheated, or until a toothpick that has been inserted into the centre comes out clean.
- The cake should be removed from the oven and allowed to cool for ten minutes in the pan before being transferred to a wire rack to finish cooling entirely.

I am planning to prepare this recipe for my children and husband. We love everything South and it is because of my husband who was born and raised in Tallahassee, Alabama. I was also raised there my husbands foster family took me in. We graduated from a Southern private college as Doctor’s in the military. I can’t wait until we taste this scrumptious Bundt cake.

Looks delicious, but what is the topping that’s on the original picture?
How do you make the glaze/ icing
Hello Mary,
We love caramel glaze with this Butter Pecan Pound Cake recipe! This simple glaze is prepared in a saucepan. It is a combination of brown sugar, butter, heavy cream, vanilla extract, a bit of light corn syrup, and a pinch of salt.
The caramel glaze will thicken as it cools. To speed things along, you can pour it into a long casserole dish so that it will cool more quickly. You can refrigerate for several minutes if you would like to speed along the cooling process!
What can I use as sugar substitute and what will be the measurement? Thank you.
Hello Shade,
You can use – brown sugar and granulated pure cane sugar – same measurement of sugar.
