Ingredients:
For the Pie Crust:

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 2 cups fresh pomegranate arils
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt

- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Granulated sugar, for sprinkling

- Put the all-purpose flour, salt, and granulated sugar into a large mixing bowl and incorporate them all together. Combine the butter that has been chilled and cut into cubes.
