Easy Strawberry Crumble Bars with Oats Recipe – Simples Recipe Ever
It is not necessary to have any specialized equipment in order to produce these strawberry bars, in addition to the fact that they have a flavor that is really irresistible.
Ingredients Â
CRUST AND CRUMBLE TOPPING
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup old-fashioned whole-rolled oats
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed
- ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
STRAWBERRY LAYER
- 2 cups coarsely chopped fresh strawberries
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons corn starch
InstructionsÂ
To prepare the crust and crumble topping, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a square pan of 8 inches in diameter by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying it with cooking spray. It is recommended that you line the pan because it makes cleanup easier.
In a large bowl that can be heated in the microwave, melt the butter for approximately one minute on high power. Mix the flour, oats, sugars, and salt, if desired, together after adding the ingredients. It is expected that the mixture will be dry and sandy, with some larger crumble bits that are nicely formed.
It is recommended that you set aside one heaping cup of the ingredients to be used as a crumble topping later on. After transferring the remaining mixture to the pan that has been prepared, use a spatula or your fingers to pack the mixture firmly in order to make a crust that is even, smooth, and flat. Set the crust aside.
The strawberry layer is made by adding all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl (the same bowl that was used for the crust and crumble is fine) and tossing them together. It’s okay if the sugar hasn’t completely dissolved because it will turn into a liquid while you’re baking.

On top of the crust, distribute the strawberry mixture in an even manner. Be sure to evenly distribute the heaping one cup of crumble topping mixture that you have prepared. I squeeze the mixture in my palm before I sprinkle it on the ground in order to facilitate the formation of larger crumble pieces.
For approximately half an hour, or until the borders are firm and the center is barely set, bake the cake. It is expected that the crumble topping will be solid and have a very light golden color, while the strawberry filling mixture will be bubbling along the borders. Bars may take longer than fifty to fifty-five minutes to make if the strawberries are extremely juicy. Watch the bars, not the clock, when determining whether or not the food is done.
First, place the pan on a wire rack, and then wait at least an hour for the bars to cool down before slicing them and serving them. In the event that you attempt to slice bars before they have completely cooled, you will end up with a really messy mess and they may even come apart.

Notes
The use of quick cook or instant oats is not recommended because these oats are finer and behave more like flour, which will result in the mixture being too dry. The bars can be stored in an airtight manner at room temperature for up to one week, in the refrigerator for up to ten days, or in the freezer for up to six months provided that they are not opened.
