Dairy-Free Chocolate Ganache Recipe

Bittersweet chocolate and rich cream are combined in traditional chocolate ganache. Made without dairy, my vegan ganache is equally as rich and creamy as the traditional one. For the chocolate enthusiast in your life, make this!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup dairy free chocolate chips
  • ½ cup dairy free milk canned coconut milk, soy milk, oat milk, etc.

INSTRUCTIONS

Microwave: Fill a bowl that is safe for the microwave with dairy-free chocolate chips and dairy-free milk. Heat for 20 seconds at a time, stirring in between, for a total of 60 seconds.

Stovetop: In a small saucepan, heat the dairy-free chocolate chips and milk while stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Bowl: In a metal bowl, combine the dairy-free chocolate and bring the dairy-free milk to a boil. Stir until smooth.

Remaining ganache can be refrigerated for up to five days in an airtight container.

NOTES

In the fridge, the ganache will get thicker. Just reheat in a pot or microwave to remelt.

Allow the chocolate ganache to set in the refrigerator before whipping it with a hand or stand mixer to produce dairy-free chocolate ganache frosting. Utilize the icing right away.

A 9-inch round layer cake or a dozen cupcakes can be covered with the 1 and a half cups of liquid ganache and roughly three cups of whipped ganache that this recipe generates.
