  • The pork tenderloin that I baked was so well received by my guests that I felt compelled to develop a slow cooker version of it as well.
  • This pork tenderloin recipe for the slow cooker features the same cherished and tempting spice rub that was used in the previous version. Sugar, smoked paprika, and other flavorful aromatics are all included in it.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pork tenderloins about 1 pound each
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter cut into pats
  • Chopped parsley optional, to taste

How to Make Pork Tenderloin In the Slow Cooker:

  • Using a slow cooker, combine all of the ingredients and simmer them for four hours on the lowest setting. Before slicing the pork and serving it, you should let it rest.
  • Below you will find the complete recipe, which includes extensive directions and step-by-step instructions.

Instructions:

  • The tenderloins should be prepared by removing any excess fat and the silver skin, which is the tough component that may cover some of each tenderloin at the time of preparation.
  • Fill your slow cooker with the beef broth and set it to low.
  • Brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper are the elements that make up the spice rub. Combine all of these ingredients in a small bowl and combine them together.

  • Make sure that the tenderloins are completely covered in the spice rub by using your hands. It is recommended that you perform this task on a plate, selecting each tenderloin one at a time.
  • When you put the pork tenderloins into the slow cooker, make sure to include any excess rub that is on the dish as well. Put the butter pats on top of the tenderloins and around them, then cover the pot with the lid.
  • After two hours on low or one hour on high, check the tenderloin to see if it is done. This is because slow cookers can vary a great deal, and it is simple to overcook tenderloin.

  • Put the lid back on if it is not quite ready, and check it after another five to ten minutes if it is near to being done (145 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit will be considered medium after resting, and keep in mind that 160 degrees Fahrenheit is already well done). It will take longer to cook your tenderloins if each one weighs more than one pound. Prepare them accordingly.
  • After the pork tenderloins have rested for five minutes, remove them from the slow cooker and cut them into medallions into appropriate sizes.
  • One option is to place the pork back into the slow cooker and toss it with the sauce. Alternatively, you may dish the pork and ladle the sauce over the top. To garnish, if desired, sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Notes:

  • Serves six to eight people, depending on the size of the serving. You will need to cut all of the ingredients in half, with the exception of the beef broth, in order to prepare one pound of pork tenderloin.
  • In order to prepare pork loin, which is a distinct cut of meat that is more difficult to chew, you will need to cook it for a longer period of time.
  • When the thickest section of the pork reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit, it is safe to consume.
  • Just a touch of pink is no problem! Make sure you never again overcook or undercook meat by using a meat thermometer that provides quick readings.

  1. Why is the list of ingredients so vastly different from the recipe steps? There are 6-8 more ingredients in the steps than are listed at the top
