Apple Sheet Cake With Pecan Streusel Topping Recipe :- This year, I just can’t get enough of consuming apples! This is my favorite during the time of year when apples are in season and at their optimum. In addition to using them in sweet recipes, I also use them in savory ones. I have been imagining this Apple Spice Cake with Pecan Streusel for a few weeks now, and if I may say so, it is just incredible. Oh my goodness, all, it is something that I have been dreaming about.

INGREDIENTS

Loaf pan prep:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

For the cake:

  • 4 eggs
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Granny Smith or Pink Lady apples, peeled, cored, and diced

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. To prepare two loaf pans of standard size, add two tablespoons of butter that has been softened to each of the pans. Spread the mixture and coat the interior of the pan with your fingertips or a brush.

Once you have added one tablespoon of sugar to each, flip the pan so that the sugar can coat the butter. Put aside for later. In a bowl, combine butter, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans. This will result in the creation of streusel. For a thorough blending, you can either use your fingertips or two forks. Put aside for later.

Put the cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar into a bowl and mix them together. Put aside for later.
The eggs and granulated sugar should be mixed together either by hand or with a stand mixer. The vanilla and melted butter should be added gradually.

The flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt should be thoroughly blended after being mixed in. Apples should be folded in. The batter will have a thick consistency. To each pan, add a quarter of the apple batter, and spread it out evenly. It is recommended that each loaf be topped with half of the brown sugar cinnamon mixture.

 

You should divide the remaining batter and add it to the loaves, then spread it out gently and evenly. Each loaf should have half of the pecan streusel sprinkled on top of it.

Loaves are placed in the oven and baked for a quarter of an hour. After placing a big sheet of tin foil over the top of the loaves in a loose manner, continue baking for a further ten minutes, or until a toothpick or knife inserted into the Centre of the loaf comes out clean. Allow the pan to cool for twenty to twenty-five minutes before serving.
