Almond Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars Recipe
Almond butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookie bars are made with the following ingredients:
1 . Natural Almond Butter
- Because it may be used in place of butter and flour in this recipe for cookie bars, unsweetened almond butter is the primary component of this recipe. Almond butter, as opposed to all-purpose flour, enables us to make a bar that is not only flavorful but also stays together quite well.
- Although crunchy almond butter is also effective, creamy almond butter is the one that produces the best results. You are able to taste the almond butter; however,
- if you would rather have the flavor of peanut butter or another nut butter or seed butter, such as cashew butter or sunflower seed butter, you are free to make the 1:1 substitution.
2 . Eggs
- The addition of a few of eggs gives the bars a rise and helps them to remain together.
- If it is at all possible, remove them from the refrigerator approximately fifteen minutes before beginning the recipe in order to at least get them to room temperature.
- A vegan alternative can be substituted for the eggs by substituting them with a half cup of mashed ripe banana, two flax eggs, or half a cup of unsweetened applesauce. A flax egg is equal to one
3 . Oats
- These oatmeal cookie bars have a great flavor and a robust texture thanks to the addition of old-fashioned rolled oats, which also contributes to the oaty flavor. Using sprouted oats that are free of gluten is something I enjoy doing.
- You can use quick oats or instant oats, but rolled oats have the nicest texture, so you should use those if you want the best results.
4 . Pure Maple Syrup
- The pure maple syrup that we use is what we use to sweeten the oatmeal cookie bars that contain almond butter.
- The liquid sweetener is also responsible for a portion of the liquid component of the recipe; therefore, it is essential that you do not substitute any other ingredients.
- In order to make the cookie bars sweeter, you can add anywhere from one to four teaspoons of brown sugar or coconut sugar. This is because the bars are not particularly sweet.
- On the other hand, if you want bars that include less sweetener, you only need to leave out the eggs and substitute three large, ripe bananas for the pure maple syrup.
5 . Sea Salt & Cinnamon
- Cinnamon adds a very mild warmth to the bars, while salt intensifies the tastes of the bars, making them taste great and robust. If you don’t like cinnamon, you can leave it out, or you can increase the amount if you want to have more fun!
6 . Chocolate Chips
- When it comes to adding little pockets of rich chocolatey goo, the chocolate chips are optional in this recipe; but, they do in fact make the bars just so appealing!
- While I prefer to use dark chocolate chips, you may also use semisweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, or peanut butter chips. All of these varieties are suitable.
Optional Additions:-
- For crunchy cookie bars, add up to ½ cup of chopped raw walnuts or pecans.
- If you like cookies with dried fruit, use raisins instead of chocolate chips.
- You can add 1.5 teaspoons of vanilla extract if you have it on hand.
- To make sticky bars, melt 1 to 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and add it.
- We now know what simple items we need to make these tasty almond butter cookie bars. Let’s get started!
