Air Fryer Lemon Garlic Shrimp Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 pound jumbo shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 1/2 Tbsps melted butter or olive oil
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp garlic paste or minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning (plus more to sprinkle over top)
- kosher salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes
- Optional: extra lemon wedges to squeeze over top
Instructions
After drying off the shrimp, transfer them to a big bowl. Add the crushed red pepper flakes, lemon juice, garlic, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, and pepper. You can also add melted butter or olive oil. Mix well until well distributed.
Put the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Overtop, add a bit more Italian spice.
For 8 to 9 minutes, set the air fryer to 400 degrees.
If preferred, present lemon wedges for squeezing over the dish.
Notes
You can use peeled and deveined shrimp or frozen shell-on shrimp. It is true that frozen shell-on shrimp have a bit more fluid.
Shorten the cooking time for the shrimp if they are defrosted.
To make removing the container from the air fryer easier, create a foil sling around it.
For this recipe, I like to use giant shrimp, but any size will do. Shrimp that are smaller cook more quickly, so watch them.
